Quality product, smart design, solved our needs, and good value. We have a cottage garden without irrigation, so we needed a watering hose that we could move around without dragging it on the ground. Our current garden hose gets snagged on rocks, gravel, and plants. We had been searching for a quality retractable hose because we thought it would solve our problem, and it did. The unit is staked into the ground instead of mounted to the wall. It swivels so we can go to either side of our garden since we have it mounted near the middle. The retractable mechanism is very intuitive. The unit is heavy enough to anchor itself and doesn’t flop around. Installation is pretty simple, just a few parts to assemble. The hose is 50 feet long, which is plenty for our garden. The whole thing feels solid. We noticed some water dripping around the base, but we just needed to check the connection and install a washer or plumber’s tape. The watering handle is not the best but not bad either. Would I want a better handle? Yes, but I can get the exact one I like separately. Highly recommend and would buy again.

I felt weird spending so little on a hose, but this is so much more than that. The retractable system is a game changer for me, being able to quickly water the flowers and then put everything away. It was easy to assemble by myself. The only thing that I have struggled with is that it doesn’t have a great connection to a separate handheld nozzle, which I purchased separately. If you don’t mind it dripping some, which is not really a big deal to me, this is a great product.

I read lots of reviews for retractable hoses and concluded this was my best choice due to the quality metal construction as opposed to plastic that many buyers said broke after a few hose rewinds. Turns out this was a great choice. Easy to assemble and install the ground mount, easy to unwind, and smooth retraction. No more back-breaking manual hose cart rewinding. Looks and works great!

With this reel, I just let it retract itself in seconds and walk away with clean hands! Wish the retracting mechanism was easier to get unlocked, but overall we like it and will probably buy a couple more of them.

I really like this spike-mounted hose reel. I’m not usually the type to assemble anything, but I had no issues installing it. One person can install it on their own. It’s also very easy to reinstall in another grass or ground location if you want to relocate the hose reel. Unlike a wall-mounted hose reel, this spike-mounted reel doesn’t require holes in the house. The retractable hose reel works smoothly and doesn’t constantly jam or kink. You can also lift the main hose reel compartment off the metal spike for storage, which is convenient during winter.

I was worried at first after reading some of the reviews about this product, but I decided to give it a try anyway. It was easy to assemble and no tools were required. The fittings fit my spigot with no issues. I do understand the concerns about the plastic fittings. As long as you are somewhat gentle when installing and removing them, you should be fine. Make sure you read the instructions, especially when cold weather is coming. Make sure you remove it and store it properly.

A couple of minor things could be better. I’m not crazy about the spray nozzle that came with the hose reel. It requires twisting the knob to turn the water on and off, which I find a little tedious. I also found the plastic tap adapters to be a bit leaky. Replacing the connection solved the problem. Overall I highly recommend this hose reel and I’m very happy with it.

Very easy to install. I haven’t used it yet, but so far I like what I see. I needed something that could stand freely instead of being mounted to the wall. I definitely like the quick-release accessories and the extra hose attachment. Installation was a breeze and took maybe 10 minutes. The bar used to twist the pipe into the ground can be stored inside the pipe when putting the mount on, so you don’t lose it. Clever design.

I bought this one because I didn’t want to attach a hose reel to the house. I screwed it all the way into the soil and connected it to the spigot, but when trying to pull the hose out I noticed the hose reel isn’t very secure and wobbles around. The other issue I have is when trying to recoil the hose. When I pull the hose for it to release and start the recoil process, it won’t always release on the first pull. I sometimes have to pull it multiple times before the lock mechanism releases. Maybe a spike that goes further into the ground would make it sturdier.

After reading a few reviews I was a bit skeptical, but I figured why not give it a shot and return it if it didn’t meet expectations. I’m glad I did. This thing is awesome! Everything literally pops into place and the setup was much easier than expected. It works great once installed.

Very easy to install. Very sturdy. Not a single leak after installation. Works well. Wish the leader hose was a little longer or had the option to purchase a longer leader hose. Five feet isn’t much and unfortunately in my situation it needs to be longer.
